Psychologist & Psychoanalyst
mental health and immigration

About me
My name is Rachel Schwartz, I'm a Brazilian psychoanalyst who currently lives in Lisbon, Portugal.

I graduated from Centro Universitário IBMR in Rio de Janeiro and, since then, I have worked clinically from the perspective of psychoanalysis. After that, I continued to specialize in Clinical Psychology at PUC-Rio where I improved my knowledge.
I have lived in some countries and, therefore, most of my analysands are also immigrants.
I understand that the immigration path can be a complex journey, full of emotional challenges. As a psychoanalyst, my approach is permeated by deep understanding and acceptance. I have experience working with expats, both in Portuguese and English, recognizing the cultural and linguistic nuances that shape their experiences.

In the sessions, we seek not only to understand the immediate issues, but also to explore the deeper roots of the emotions linked to this transition.
I'm here to provide a safe space where your journey is understood and where we can build strategies together to face challenges and promote improved emotional health.

Here, I intend to bring a little uncomplicated psychoanalysis, recommendations for books and series and a space for exchange and reflection.
